In 2005 GKA worked with a consortium of organisations looking to explore the feasibility of refurbishing and re-using bicycles from the waste stream in Wales and developing a network of 'Green Bike' hire points based at community organisations and enterprises. The study looked at both the supply of and potential demand for 'green bikes' and a five year phased development plan for the project was put forward.
